Hello! My name is Sparkles. I am a HUGE NY Yankees fan!!! I have learned that life is short so make the most out of the time you have! So what can you find me doing most of the time.. I love to hang out with my friends and my family- making lots of memories that will last a lifetime.. this is my #1!! I love spending time at camp- BBQs, boat rides, bonfires, etc. Love going to the movies or relaxing at home with a DVD, curling up at night and reading, rocking out in my car to my favorite music! Anyways, I hope you guys have fun reading my blog!!!

I love all kinds of music, so here are a few of my favorites.
it's spring break (for lemoyne)!!! the only true part about that is the "break" part. yeah school is out for a week, but it is definitely not spring around here yet. the past few days haven't been too bad with snow but there is still a lot of that white stuff everywhere. really, who thinks about spring in february- except for wishiing that it would get here already! anyways, i plan to make this break very productive- i am getting a good start on two projects for lemoyne and continuing to work on the one course i am taking at occ. i hope to clean up my room and my car a little bit too- they are both a mess! we'll see how far i get down my list.
Movie Update:
i bought THE PRESTIGE. i haven't watched the whole thing yet, but i did watch the very end so i could see something kinda important that i missed when watching it in the theater. if you have seen the movie, i am sure you know what i am talking about. a bunch of people told me about it but i just didn't pay attention to it and i found that it is definitely there. i have been waiting for it to come out on dvd cause i just wanted to see that part. i did love the entire movie though. i bought the book too- just so i could read it whenever i get a chance. i tried listening to it on audio, but i found that with that book, i just couldn't do it.
i also brought home THE DEPARTED home from the library and watched that with the family. everyone fell asleep except for me. it is one of those movies that you have to pay attention to so you can figure out who is the good guy and who is the bad guy. since they didn't pay too much attention to it, they didn't care for it that much. although i love the movie, i don't know if i want to buy it yet.
other than that, because of school, i haven't been able to get out to the theaters as much to see any more movies. maybe i'll get a chance to do that sometime this week as well. i really want to go see the new JIM CARREY movie THE NUMBER 23- i have heard mixed things about it though. three others that sound kinda good are BREACH with RYAN PHILLIPPE, THE ABANDONED, and DADDY'S LITTLE GIRLS. hopefully i will get a chance to go see one of these.
YANKEES UPDATE: SPRING TRAINING HAS BEGUN!!!! 2007 SEASON BEGINS IN A COUPLE SHORT MONTHS!!
well, gotta head out to go to my sister's so we can celebrate my brother-in-law's bday. my mom made a dirt cake- that is one of my favorites!!!

i thought the pink would be a nice touch cause my sister finally has a baby girl!!! KAYLEIGH JEAN- our v-day baby. my new little niece was born yesterday afternoon at 3:56. i actually got to go in the room and watch the whole thing. i thought it was gonna be pretty gross, but it was amazing. i cried a lot though when she was having her contractions though. it was so hard seeing my sister in that much pain and i couldn't do anything to help her. i am sure she is now thinking that it was so worth it cause now she has a daughter. we all love and adore my two little nephews but we were so excited to see that it was a baby girl. we all started cheering, laughing, crying, clapping- everything you could think of. she is the cutest little thing! i went right up to the hospital after school cause i couldn't wait to see the little peanut again. her and mommy will be going home tomorrow morning or afternoon. well, i better get going and get some sleep- it has been an eventful couple of days- just wanted to fill you guys in. good night!
so my sister is having contractions and they are about 15 minutes apart. yay! what a time to have a baby though- the day after we get pounded with snow. just like our family- we have the worst time in the world!
there is some good news about the snow- i didn't have class today!!! i don't think it would have been a very worthwhile class today anyways. tomorrow is what i am worried about. my professors never cancel class. one of them yesterday even said that they would take a helicopter in if needed. i know he was just kidding but that means def means that there is no way he is going to cancel class. then i have somewhat of a presentation to do in my marketing class. ahhhh! see, like i said- perfect timing!!!
i'm not sure yet but i am hoping that work will be closed tonight. i love the people that i work with on wednesdays, but i really don't feel like going to work tonight (it would be slow that it would be pointless to be there), especially if my sis goes to the hospital and has the baby- she said that i could be in the room with her. i am kind of afraid to be in the room but i really want to.

all of you who watched snl the last time justin was on, you know what this is and those who didn't watch it- use your imagination! lol really quickly about justin- he did awesome at the grammys on sunday. both of his performances were amazing!!!
so as you can tell by the title of the post, we don't have a new baby yet. my sister actually went home the night that she was admitted into the hospital. her birthday is today, her due date is tomorrow and the doctors are saying that if she doesn't go into labor by the 17th then they will induce her. we are all like "we can't wait that long!!!" her first baby was exactly 7 days overdue and i am sure she is hoping that will not be the case this time. so are we ;) lol
ok, change of subject- what about this snow?!!! this is horrible. it has been snowing all day today. i am not usually scared of driving in the snow (even after going off the road on monday), but i am today, but thank go i don't have to since i don't have classes on fridays.
here is another change of subject. i saw BECAUSE I SAID SO on tuesday i think. although i am sure that some people wouldn't like it, i thought it was a great movie. it was absolutely hilarious. i loved it! again there was also a guy in this movie that was kinda cute. his character is a musician and a single father. again i think it was more his character rather than his looks, i'll let you judge. check him out! (GABRIEL MACHT) i just found an awesome pic of him from the movie but i can't copy and paste it or anything cause it is part of a flash file or something like that. here is the link to site and then go to the downloads tab on the top (http://www.becauseisaidsomovie.com/main.htm)and the pic i am talking about is on the right. i was just looking at his filmography too on imdb and i can't believe he was in so many movies- ones that i have seen. i guess i will have to see them again and look very carefully :)
i am just gonna talk about everything and everything in this post... i don't usually like to talk about or get involved in politics, but did you guys here that rudy giuliani is running for president. i am so excited. i think he would be a great president. the way he took care of nyc and pulled the city together after 9/11 shows what kind of man he is. i've always wanted him to run and i am so happy that he is :)
there is one more thing- i just wanted to share this video with everyone. it is a video of RASCAL FLATTS at a children's hospital in nashville and it is set to their song "MY WISH" which goes perfectly with it. they are an amazing group of guys. i love them!
oh and by the way- don't forget to check out RASCAL FLATTS and CARRIE UNDERWOOD performing together at the GRAMMYS on sunday. JUSTIN will be performing too. DON'T MISS IT!!!
things have been crazy today. i woke up to my mom telling me that my pregnant sister who is due in a week is in the hospital only to find out that it was not because she was in labor but because she had a nasty stomach bug and that she felt "pressure". i had to go to work but i called my other sister while i was there and she said that they did a sonogram and that they did another test on the baby and if the results were too low that they would have to do a c-section. i just started freaking out! but in the end the results were ok and they are now just keeping her overnight to monitor her and the baby. they may even send her home tomorrow or they could induce her. i hope they induce her cause i want a new baby in the family. we all do- we are all so excited!!! i'll let you know what happens!
then i had so much fun at work today. it didn't even feel like work. it never does when my buddy works. it has been way too long!
anyways gotta go but i'll keep you posted on the baby situation. (i am so excited!!!)
