ok i have been a very long hiatus, but as you can see, i am BACK! and what other way would i start up again but to give a couple movie reviews....
first up...
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. with all the anticipation and one of my favorite actors (
Shia LaBeouf!!) being in the fourth installment of an awesome series of movies, can i just say that IT SUCKED!!!... BIG TIME! i thought the acting was still good but the plot... what the heck were they thinking?!?!! by the end, it wasn't even an adventure movie- it turned into sci-fi! all i could think of while watching the end was the movie Independence Day.. don't get me wrong, i really like Independence Day but Indiana Jones is supposed to be adventure... NOT sci-fi! i will leave this at i was just very, VERY disappointed in this movie!
ok next up...
Made of Honor. to switch gears a little bit, i really liked this movie. i am a big sucker for romantic comedies, especially when they have a guy that i love in it.. aka
Patrick Dempsey! it is kinda funny that i actually fell in love with him in one of my favorite movies which was also a romantic comedy-
Sweet Home Alabama. anyways, if you are a sap all those romantic comedies, this is definitely one for you! (sidenote: another one with Patrick Dempsey that came out recently on DVD that was really cute was
Enchanted.. i definitely recommend this one for all ages!!)
another romantic comedy that i have recently seen is
What Happens in Vegas. this one i was kind of unsure about going into, but in the end, it was cute. the two stars of this movie,
Cameron Diaz and
Ashton Kutcher, have kinda been out of the spotlight for a while that i almost forgot about them... neither one of them have ever really stood out in my head as "great" actors, but i have always liked things that they have been in. anyways, very cute concept to the movie and they were very cute in it.
and lastly...
Baby Mama! two very fun SNL stars (
Tina Fey and
Amy Poehler, with a few more mixed in here and there during the movie) make a fun movie but honestly they begin to mix a little bit too much seriousness in with the comedy. i found while watching the movie that the only real funny parts i had already seen in the preview for it. i really get bummed out when that is the case.
well, i guess that is enough for now, but i will be back and continue to try to keep up with "the crazy life of me :)"
