last night i watched THE LOST BOYS. i was pretty iffy about it at first cause it was about vampires but I LOVED IT!!! i stayed home last night and watched the special edition. this movie had a perfect combination of horror and comedy. most people wouldn't think that these two genres go together, but they go together perfectly in this movie. i probably wouldn't have even liked it if the comical aspect was not there.

my favorite was the best! of course i am talking about COREY HAIM! he was so funny in this movie. i think this has been my favorite movie i have seen him in. the "frog brothers" were awesome too. basically the funniest line came from the mouths of "the haimster", "feldog", the other frog brother, jamison nelander and the grandpa. here are some of my favorite lines from the movie:

• Sam Emerson: There's no TV! Have you seen a TV, Mike? I haven't seen a TV. Do you know what it means when there's no TV? - No MTV!
• Grandpa: Hey, anything around here that might pass for aftershave?
  Sam Emerson: How about some Windex, Grandpa?
  Grandpa: Yeah, yeah, let me try some of that.
  Michael Emerson: You have a big date tonight, Grandpa?
  Grandpa: I'm going to drop my handiwork by the widow Johnson.
  Michael Emerson: What'd ya stuff for her? Mr. Johnson?
• Grandpa: Do you know the rule about filling up the car with gas when you take it without asking?
  Michael Emerson: No, Grandpa.
  Grandpa: Well, now you do.
• ***MY FAVORITE*** Sam Emerson: Look at your reflection in the mirror. You're a creature of the night Michael, just like out of a comic book! You're a vampire Michael! My own brother, a goddamn, shit-sucking vampire. You wait 'till mom finds out, buddy!
• Sam Emerson: Don't kill me, Mike. I'm basically a good kid.
• Sam Emerson: What are you? The flying nun!
  
• Edgar Frog: You did the right thing by calling us. Does your brother sleep a lot?
  Sam Emerson: Yeah, all day.
  Alan Frog: Does the sunlight freak him out?
  Sam Emerson: Uh, he wears sunglasses in the house.
  Edgar Frog: Bad breath, long fingernails? Yeah, his fingernails are a little bit longer, um, he always had bad breath, though.
• Sam Emerson: I bet you hate garlic, dontcha!
• Alan Frog: Holy shit, Vampire Hotel.
• Edgar Frog: The bloodsucking Brady Bunch!
• Paul: Haha! Garlic don't work, boys!
  Edgar Frog: TRY THE HOLY WATER, DEATH BREATH!
• ***THIS IS A GREAT LINE*** Sam Emerson: Death by stereo!
• Edgar Frog: Are you OK?
  Sam Emerson: I nailed one of them downstairs with a bow and arrow.
  Alan Frog: All right, Sambo!
  Edgar Frog: We trashed the one that looks like Twisted Sister.
  Alan Frog: Totally annihilated his night-stalking ass!
  Edgar Frog: Well, Nanook helped a little.
  Alan Frog: Death to all vampires!
  Edgar Frog: Maximum body count!
  Edgar Frog: We're awesome monster bashers!
  Alan Frog: The meanest!
  Edgar Frog: The baddest!
• Alan Frog: Holy shit! It's the attack of Eddie Munster!
• Edgar Frog: I'm the head Frog here.

you might need to see the movie to get the full effect of some of these lines, but most of them are hilarious just reading :)

by the way, cc- keep up with the good suggestions! i have fallen in love with every single movie that you have suggested to me :) i have to ask my sisters if they have seen it and i will have to make them watch it. lol this will be a movie that i will be purchasing soon as well! the special edition version!!!

the weirest thing about the whole movie was that in the "vampire hotel" there was a huge poster of jim morrison and he looked exactly like michael, the main character, in it. i have seen that same poster of jim morrison before so i sat there thinking "is that jim morrison playing michael?" even though i was almost positive it wasn't. it was crazy! in the special features they talked about that a little bit and they thought that was really cool too.
