other than this, my day was just dandy!- NOT!!!!!!! i woke up feeling absolutely horrible. have you ever woken up and just said something aloud to yourself just to see if you could actually talk? yeah i did that this morning. i just said "hello". it didn't come out very clear but it came out. then we had the easter egg hunt at work and my sisters were coming with the kids so except for the fact i had to get up early, i was excited to see all of them even though i am gonna see all of them tomorrow too for easter.

so anyways, i was upstairs most of the day at work doing mindless jobs which was just about all i could handle anyways. someone who was supposed to work for someone else did not show and when he was called he said that he didn't remember anyone asking him to work and he couldn't come in cause he had "plans". he is scheduled to work next saturday so lets see if he shows up then. can you tell that i am just a little bit annoyed right now? so the day went by really, really, realllllllllly slooooooooow! i came downstairs at about 3:00 and things were pretty ok for a while up until about 3:45 (15 minutes before we close)- this lady comes in with four books to check out and a full page of books and asks me if we had any of the books at the library. i was like are you kidding me? you really expect me to search for every single one of these titles. i don't think so!!! i asked her if there were any particular authors she was looking for and she gave me three really popular authors- james patterson, nora roberts and stephen king. she wanted to know if their latest releases were checked in. i knew they wouldn't be but i searched them in the computer anyways. i looked up james patterson first and there were 400-something holds on his latest release and when i started to type in nora roberts the computer just froze. so, i went over to the other computer and of course that one was frozen too- all the computers in the library were frozen at that point. this meant that we had to do manual checkouts- writing the patron's barcode number down along with all of the barcodes of the books that they were checking out. this is a very time-consuming and tedious process considering that every barcode is 14 digits long.

while i am writing down all these barcodes, i look up and there is a kid that i kinda like from school- lets call him M. it is so funny cause he comes in all the time, but the thing is that i always see him leave but i never see him come in. anyways i was like hey how've you been and we kinda talked but between the hecticness of the library at the time and the fact that i didn't even feel good, i was kinda short with him. for me, he couldn't have picked a worse day to come in. i felt bad that i wasn't my normal, perky self but i have already apologized to him for that.
